Issue 60: There Is No Finish Line… Keep On Knitting
Find a quiet moment this weekend with a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy these hand-picked articles and projects that encourage less stress and more knitting (a.k.a. joy) in your life.
Issue 59: Knitting for Calm and Connection Through Stressful Times
It looks like we’re going to be living in this pandemic era for a while yet. And that is entirely out of our control. However, you do get to control how you respond to this situation. Focus on what you can control and take deliberate action toward the person you choose to be. Hint: Make time for knitting, joy, gratitude, and self-care!
Issue 58: Using your Precious Stash and Knitting for the Body Conscious
If you are feeling stuck in a rut, trust that in time, it will pass and that you know intuitively what you need to do to get out of it. Take all the time you need, and make space to listen to your intuition.
I encourage you to use your knitting time to reconnect with yourself and the present moment.
Remember, the rhythmic and repetitive motions of knitting can help you relax. It reduces stress and anxiety and can offer an opportunity to process your thoughts.
If you feel like you can’t knit right now, find yourself some beautiful yarn and simply knit for knitting’s sake. It doesn’t have to “be” anything.
For inspiration, see the article below How to Audition a Yarn.
Be patient, have compassion for yourself, and trust the process.
All will be well.
Issue 57: Ergonomics of Knitting & Commit to Knit Challenge!
I’ve heard many say that they’ve been struggling to knit during these stressful and uncertain times. And understandably.
I’d like to invite you to join me and other community members for this next challenge. It may be just what you need right now.
To be clear, the challenge is about self-care, mindfulness, and cultivating a sense of groundedness, peace, and calm with a daily knitting practice. There’s no pressure to “achieve” anything or to get anything completed. It’s about making time for yourself and your well-being.
We run the challenge via the Facebook group and a Ravelry forum, so it’s an opportunity to connect with like-minded knitters as well.
If you’ve been feeling lonely and isolated during the Covid-19 pandemic, consider joining me for the free online event. You’ll meet some wonderful people, and hopefully, make life-long friendships!
I’d love to connect with you there and support you personally over the next 30 days.
Issue 56: Life-long Learning, Successful Aging & MedKnitation!
It’s been an incredibly stressful few months with the on-going Covid-19 pandemic. And the events of this week in the US have been appalling and extremely upsetting. It is absolutely reasonable that you might not be OK.
Not being “OK” would be a totally normal response to what is going on right now.
So please, if you are not ok, make sure to reach out – to friends and family, to professionals if you need to. You are not alone.
I encourage you to make extra time for self-care. Give yourself permission to rest and restore.
Pick up your knitting, and let it soothe and comfort you.
May you find consolation during these times of unbearable stress.

As per usual, I have gathered a few articles that I think you may find interesting or helpful. I hope that you can find a few peaceful moments this week to enjoy them.
