Therapeutic Knitting – Wellness- Conscious Living

Success!

You're signed up for the Challenge! (Starts Oct 1st!)

I can’t wait to join you on this journey.

But before we begin, here are a few housekeeping items:

#1: Don’t miss the updates!

Starting Oct 1st, I’ll be sending you a daily email for the duration of the challenge. These emails will include meditation practices and knitting tips to help you get the most benefit from your knitting time.

To make sure you get these emails, please add my email address (becky AT knitom.com) to your address book.

Using Gmail? Manually drag Knit Om emails from the promotions tab into your primary inbox tab. When a pop-up box asks if you want to do this automatically in the future, hit YES!

# 2: Join the Private Facebook and Ravelry Groups

A fun way to keep you motivated and hold you accountable during the challenge is to join the private Facebook and Ravelry groups. Here you’ll find a supportive and engaged community of like-minded knitters, and we’d love to connect with you!

# 3: Plan Your Project

While you wait for the challenge to begin, have a think about what you’re going to knit.

Now, you may be asking yourself “What shall I knit?” or “What would be a good project for this challenge?” Honestly, this is up to you. And what you decide to knit depends on your experience as a knitter and on what you hope to get out of the challenge.

I’m going to suggest, however, that no matter what your experience as a knitter,  it’s always an option to “just knit.”

That’s right! It doesn’t need to BE anything!

Not only is this challenge an opportunity for you to experience the benefits of the physical act of knitting, but also an opportunity to explore your mind through meditation. And when you’re not focusing on getting a project done, you can focus on the benefits of the practice itself.

Now, if that idea does not appeal to you and you want to knit something, by all means, choose a project. Just make sure that it’s something you are excited about! Also, consider what might be relaxing and meditative?

Ultimately, it’s up to you!

# 4: Print the 30-day Calendar

Lastly, I encourage you to download and print the 30-day Challenge Calendar

Challenge PRINTABLE

Pin it up on your wall – somewhere that you’ll see it often.

Now, get yourself a big red marker pen and for each day that you sit to knit during the challenge, you’re going to mark off that day with a big X. After a few days of doing this, you’ll have a chain of Xs. Your goal for the rest of the challenge will be this: DO NOT BREAK THE CHAIN! (Fun fact: this is a productivity hack attributed to Jerry Seinfeld.)

Alright! That’s it for now.

I hope you’re as excited as I am to get started with this challenge!

Get ready to get your Knit OM…starting very soon!

Peace and Love,

Becky
